Day One Clinic

Some people might think that half of a day of clinic is 3 maybe 4 hours. Well half of a day of clinic today was 6 hours. We saw 120 patients in the medical areas and 34 people in eye glasses. We have never seen the lab so jammed. It might have to do with the fact that we had 6 people seeing patients and multiple concerns. We had a Haitian doctor join us today, Dr. Valerie Thomas. She is fitting right in.

The team worked amazingly well. People helped and pitched in wherever they could. For the first time all of the people we are taking to the hospital tomorrow have the same concern: cataracts. If they all show up in the morning we could be taking 6 people including a very young boy. Please pray for these people. There were also some very tough cases today and we ask for prayers for the team as they help these people and work to find them services here in Haiti.

Everyone is healthy and in great spirits. All of the new people have added so much to the team. We have a group of very hard working young people. What a blessing.

Tomorrow , Friday, we will be doing our second day at Lilavois. We hope to get started by 9:00 or so. Please pray for endurance and strength as we know it will be a long day.

Enjoy the photos.
