About Immanuel Lutheran Church

What We Believe

We are a congregation associated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. As such, we accept and confess the three universal creeds of the Christians Church (the Apostles', the Nicene, and the Athanasian) and hold as true expositions of God's Word the Lutheran Confessions.

We follow the Biblical principle that Faith alone through faith in Jesus saves us. This means that we believe that faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior is the only way to be saved, and that such a faith is a gift from God.
"For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

Living, Loving, & Learning with Christ

We believe that our greatest responsibility as a congregation is to carry out the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) to make disciples by living the Great Commandment (John 15:12), loving one another as Jesus loves us

We further believe in the priesthood of all believers. That is, all members of the church can and are urged to pray for one another, assure each other of the forgiveness of sins, and to serve one another with whatever spiritual gift(s) God has given us.
We believe that God has called us to meet the needs of families... whatever the size or form they may come in, so that they might realize all that God has intended for them.
We know that you will feel welcome here; that you will grow spiritually here; and that you will make a difference here! Welcome!
